If you’re already confused by what you’re reading, let me back up a bit. First of all, I’m someone who has been following mainstream or Western astrology for over 30 years, so hear me out. I’m not here to criticize or condemn. I want to share my awakening with you in the hope that it will prompt you to ask yourself questions and consider searching for your own truth.
Not long ago, every time I met someone I would ask what their zodiac sign was to get a glimpse into their personality. I’m sure I’m not the only one, but let’s face it: when it comes to personality, what we really want to know is which box to put the person we meet into. “Is he Leo? Well, probably totally self-centered then.” We tend to look at the ‘negative’ and use astrology to judge each other or get quick answers about what the future might look like.
But what if astrology, in its purest form, were a way to free ourselves from the personality box and reveal our highest potential?
This is an invitation for you to reflect and discover what resonates with you. Keep an open mind as you read this blog post and see if something calls to you. And if you feel the calling, here are all the resources you need to dig deeper.
Astrology emerged in ancient times when civilizations looked to the sky and tracked the movement of the celestial bodies. Astronomy and astrology then went hand in hand, in harmony. You can see this in old buildings where specific features follow the path of constellations. If you want to know more about this, I highly recommend the documentary ‘Ancient Apocalypse’ on Netflix.
That said, at some point in ancient Greece, astrology became an established system and the birth chart was divided into twelve equal parts. When I say fixed, I mean that the system is mathematically created, following the seasonal passage of the Sun through the ecliptic. The signs retained the names of the constellations, but astrology no longer followed the path of celestial bodies and the motion of the Earth’s axis, a cosmic phenomenon called precession of the equinoxes that has changed the sky above us.
When I discovered this not long ago, I was shocked. “Wait a minute? Isn’t ASTROlogy a way to connect with the cosmic energy and understand how celestial bodies influence earthly matters?” Once I learned about the precession of the equinoxes, something crumbled for me. Astrology had been with me for so long, and I started having so many doubts…
The discovery of the precession of the equinoxes made it clear that annual zodiac predictions or lunar energy readings sent out monthly by Western astrology have no connection with the sky above. Download sky-watching apps like SkyView Lite and you’ll see that when mainstream astrology says, for example, the moon is in Capricorn, it’s actually in Sagittarius (the Earth’s axis has moved backwards). These are two VERY different energies.
The Sun’s annual path through the ecliptic constellations is a magical journey of contraction and expansion. If you work with the opposite energy, you are not aligned with the cosmic energy. You can still find useful information in Western astrology birth charts, but when it comes to predictions and energy readings, they really are of no use anymore…
My Sagittarius Moon and Sun in the 9th House (in True Sidereal Astrology) then urged me to seek my truth.
I have found teachers who are pioneers in this field and have worked to reunite astronomy and astrology. Let me briefly tell you why I like what they do. Rudolf Steiner – Book “Astronomy & Astrology”
Rudolf Steiner was an Austrian esoteric teacher who lived between the latter part of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. He worked on finding a synthesis between spirituality and science. He is considered a controversial figure, and I do not follow all of his teachings. I always only take what resonates. Returning to astrology, his book ‘Astronomy & Astrology’ is a series of lectures dedicated to finding a relationship with the cosmos that reunites astronomy and astrology.

I read birth charts, but my reading style is unique. I am not an astrologer, but I can read the language of the stars that describe your soul path and soul lessons.
