Bible study about your freedom in Christ

If the Bible says we are free in Christ Jesus, what does that mean?

How do I walk every day in my freedom in Christ?

Can I lose my freedom if I ruin it again or sin again?

Why do I still feel slave, in slavery after I had given my life to Christ?

In this Bible study you will investigate all these questions and many more.

Before you start the Bible study

This study is not a tranditional study plan where we concentrate on a chapter per day, but this will focus on fresh on the Biblical principles, questions and application of specific themes with regard to your freedom in Christ.

When you get to know it and being redeemed by Christ, this can be a rewarding but overwhelming experience; But is so necessary. As soon as you accept Christ in your life, you will receive many gifts, including the gift of salvation, Holy Spirit and Freedom.

If you have not accepted Christ if you have accepted Lord and Savior, I would advise you to first jump to this message: 4 positive steps to give your life to Christ for single mothers

Your freedom in Christ Bible study

The overdue story behind Galatians

Galatians is a book in the Bible found in the New Testament. Galatians were written when an apostle, named Paul, visited various churches in the Galatia region. The written letters that form the book of Galatians were sent because of the frustration that Paul had of what he saw there.

If you want to know more about the background of Galaten’s book, I strongly recommend you to visit The Bible project Where they have content in video and reading form in cool Doodles that explains the history, the climate of culture and breaking the actions and principles that have been associated with that specific time.

I worked out the Old Testament and the journey of the little prophets through their Youversion Bible Plan, which helped me enormously to understand and learn the fullness of the Bible stories that we read every day.

Who is Apostle Paulus?

Apostle Paul is one of the prominent figures of the Bible, outside of Jesus. Paul was originally Saul and had one of the most amazing transformations and encounter with God on his way to Damascus where Jesus met him. Paul spent most of his life with the prosecution and killing of Christians, but God had a different plan.

God is so patient and loyal.

Although Saul is an enemy of the Kingdom, God chose not to address his wrath towards him. God used Him and His life as a will of how true repentance and following should look after Jesus. Paul had the same amount of zeal and excellence that was present in the first place, but now it is for Christ.

Apostle Paul not only converted, but he was one of the greatest to share the word and spread without hesitation. Paul has experienced God in a new way and now everyone must hear about God’s truth and principles through his books and letters.

Understand why freedom in Christ is important

Your freedom in Christ is so important because we often go through the life that God, ourselves and how we appear in the world. When we accept Christ, that freedom deliberately starts to live in us.

Freedom is a representation of what we have decided to do for salvation. As Paul says in Galations, the son liberated us, so we are no longer children for the slave woman, but children of the free woman. This means that our freedom starts from the first day, but we are still entangled in the pains and challenges of life, which makes it suffocated.

I pray that this Bible study opens your eyes for the free gift of freedom under God’s grace on your walk with Christ. Unveil your truth and wisdom as every day in connection with walking in this freedom. I pray that you allows the Holy Spirit to prune you in the areas that usually prevent us from living and standing in our freedom in Christ.

Enjoy the Bible study! I can’t wait to hear about what God reveals about himself and about you by Galatians.

Galatians Chapter 1 Summary

In Chapter 1, Paul addresses the churches in Galatia by sending grace and peace by God/Jesus to them as a sacrifice to save people from the challenges and evil of their time. Paul continued to tackle and give a matter of confusion and perversion that occurred in the church at that time, so that the people of Galatia lost the focus on whom they served. Paul challenged them to think.

Paul follows his challenge with his testimony of how God called him and the transformation that occurred at the time before he entered the ministry. Paul emphasized that when God changed his life, he did not look at other people, but remained in loneliness and revealed himself to the people of which God told him to spend the call on his life.

Galatians Chapter 2 Summary

In Chapter 2, Paul shared about his journey after 17 years that he had been built up for his phone call and ministry. He went to those who walked with Jesus to confirm that he was on the right track. At that time he was able to recognize who did not fully walk in the ways of Jesus (such as Peter), and communicated his goal to call what did not match with what God revealed him in His loneliness.

Paul opposed a leader named Cephas and corrected him about what the new covenant is about about the separation between Jews and Gentiles. He claimed that we are no longer under the law, but Christ lives in us. We must live through faith in Jesus, love and sacrifice. Paul showed great conviction that he is no longer under the law, but right through God’s grace.

Galatians Chapter 3 Summary

In Chapter 3, Paul becomes serious with the Galatians now that he laid the foundation. He continued to repeat that we are under faith and not work what he was before before he came to Christ. Paul wanted to read the people of this church and who once read this letter to be free from the curse of the law and to understand that they are just through faith. The word says, “Through faith we can receive the promise of the Spirit,” which is freedom.

Paul states that the law was given to open our eyes to our sins, but only until the promise came, what Christ Jesus is. He concluded this chapter by reminding us who we are as children of God by coming into this faith. Paul stated that there is no division, no separation in Christ but unity and togetherness. In that unity we become a part of God’s family and they become heirs of the promise that freedom is in Christ.

Galatians Chapter 4 Summary

In Chapter 4 I was initially confused, but this chapter reveals the heart of Paul and his desire to stimulate the point of our freedom. Paul shares that there is still a development process in our journey with Christ, is rooted and gets a great understanding of what it means to no longer be a slave, but a child of God. He wanted the reader to know that they would not all know and have it all, but start to grow from bondage.

As the chapter progresses, Paul shares his concern about the people of Galatians. He is worried that all the progress he has made with them will be suffocated by their desire to please society and will be all the work in vain. Paul the feeling that they will turn from the truth or to exaggerate it to the point of damage. He shared the story of Hagar and Sarah to illustrate our transition from children of pain and suffering to children of promise and freedom.

Galatians Chapter 5 Summary

In Chapter 5, Paul shares the ‘secret sauce’ of your life. He explains our freedom in Christ and its importance. Pauls shares that all the work and things that we think we should do does not matter. It is expressed our faith by love that shows that we are free in Christ. He wanted the people of Galaat to understand that they are concentrating on their own race, so that external influences do not turn to slavery and suffocate your freedom.

Paul shares a great point with us that proof of our freedom is seen in the way we live the fruit of the Spirit. He warns us not to let our freedom lead us to sin and carnal indulgences that he specifically mentions. Paul, however, also mentions which fruit should be in our lives as a will of your freedom in Christ. Don’t let your fruit become an idol, but a path and guidance that you are on a journey and in God’s will in your life.

Galatians Chapter 6 Summary

In Chapter 6, Paul ends the letter by encouraging people to know the purpose of their freedom in Christ and how it brings well for the people around them and with whom they are connected. Living through the Spirit enables you to be soft with others, to support each other and build each other. We often have to investigate ourselves and spend time sharing God what all spirit does and changes in our lives.

Paul repeated that God is no one to play with; We harvest what we sow. However, focus on a blessing and to do it well. Do not give up what is good in your freedom in Christ. Try not to impress anyone else, but create Christ and the glory of a new creation in Christ, not bragging in what you do or do not do (religious practices). Finally, he summarizes that all letter was meant to remind you that no one would cause us to cause problems on our journey with Christ in peace, grace and grace.

All in all,

I pray your step in the complete freedom that is accompanied by life before Christ Jesus. I pray that everything or person that you have bound and made a slave no longer a hold on you. I pray that you get the power, courage and authority that comes from the Holy Spirit to walk and operate in freedom every day.
