Mama, Why Don’t You Feel Good Enough?

The answer to this is layered and personal to you and your situation, but here I give you TWO essential points to keep in mind to better understand what you are feeling.

Mom, why don’t you feel good enough? It’s because of societal expectations.

In other words… It’s not your fault! This is a cultural factor, so it is not yours to own. It’s internalized. Hopefully this already helps you to look at it in a different way.

It’s no secret that men have been working hard to push women to the bottom for centuries because they fear female power. Unfortunately, as time went on, women became accustomed to this feeling of inferiority and internalized it, reinforcing the idea that no matter how much we do, we will never be good enough. We get stuck in the constant act of trying to adapt to a masculine world and neglect our feminine intuitive power.

I’m pretty sure you can relate, right?

Mom, why don’t you feel good enough? It comes from personal history.

This one is somewhat related to the first, because more often than not the person who helped create this feeling of “not being good enough” is your father.

I see this with many of my clients, so you may have had a similar experience. The father is often an authoritarian figure who demands a lot and hardly praises the work. The child does everything he can to prove that he is good enough, and this trend continues into adult life. In some cases, it is not the father who evokes this feeling, but someone you met along the way: a teacher, a boss, a friend.

Does this appeal to you?

As I said, the search for the root cause of not feeling good enough is personal, but I hope you can start to see the bigger picture around this feeling that is keeping you from stepping into your Empress Mama power – which is your true nature as a powerful, embodied and intuitive woman and mother.

You ended up here for a reason. You have felt the calling. The world is transforming, and so are you. In times of rapid change, you need a refuge that reminds you who you are. The Empress Mama Circle is a sanctuary for spiritual mothers who rise together.
