10 Things God Wants Single Moms To Know

Being a single mother does not rule on a relationship with God. The fact that you are a single mother creates the opposite effect for God, so that he is more attracted to you than others because of the nature of your circumstance.

Our relationship with God

Take a look through the Bible, Jesus always hung on those who were often overlooked or undeserved. Here is a list to name a few:

  • The woman at the well
  • Tax collector
  • David

The list can continue. But…

God wants single mothers to have a relationship with him. He loves you and wants to help you grow by showing you the gifts and calls that he had planned for you a long time ago.

God likes to communicate with you and talk to you. I know I learn that God is not irritated by my talking and praying. It hurts him more if I don’t come to him as I should.

God wants single mothers to communicate with him

I know it is you to hear about the barriers that stand in our way as single mothers. More than less, we fail to acknowledge and become aware of exactly the thing that stops us by really being the woman and mother we want to be.

If you know what is in the way, you can find out how you will remove it, go around it or eventually have to overcome.

Below I share some barriers that have held in the way to communicate with God:

  • Lies we believe
  • Distraction and crowds
  • Shame and guilt
  • Unforgiveness
  • Infringement

God tells us soon through the small biography of Enoch that a man had been faithful to God. And he said it twice because it is an important part of our lives.

I laughed at how short his story was because, in the passage of Gen 5: 21-24, just said he lived for a long time and what children had, but he ran faithfully with God without details.

Despite the shortness of the story of Enochs in the Bible, God still wanted us to know and collect it from his life.

So bElow, I share ten things that God has let me know over the years and that I believe in my mind that he wants you to know as a single mother too. We serve a confirming god, so it is only appropriate that he wants to answer our hidden questions.

10 things God wants single mothers to know

(All Scripture NLT)

He is not angry with you or punishes you.

“Come on now, let’s arrange this,” says the Lord. “Although your sins are as scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Although they are red as crusty red, I will make them as white as wool. Isaiah 1:18

Being a single mother or becoming a single mother was never separate from the plan for someone of ours. But I know that we can often feel the shame to become one. We can sometimes project the same emotions on our Heavenly Father, who contradicts what the Bible tells us about his ways.

Remember that God wants nothing more than to comfort you, redeem you and see his glory shine through your testimony. Punishment is not God’s way; Discipline is.

‘While you undergo this divine discipline, remember that God treats you as his own children. Who has ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by his father? ‘Hebrews 12: 7

You are not alone.

But the time comes – indeed it is now here – when you will be distributed, each goes its own way and leave me alone. Yet I am not only because the father is with me. John 16:32

Loneliness is the greatest lie we believe as single mothers. We feel that we are in the middle of the water and try to float all alone. And sometimes we can be, but that is purely through our own.

God tells us time and time again in the Word that we are not alone and that He is with us. Whether it is with us by using the Holy Spirit or by people around us, we can be convinced that we don’t have to do life alone.

And God has given us His Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He in us. 1 John 4:13

You are still his daughter.

But to everyone who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

I praise God every day for my natural father on earth to help me really practice with a daughter. But I know that for a unique group of single mothers, some have never had the chance to be the daughter of a Father here on earth.

Inside that we cannot feel equipped or insufficient to understand our identity as a God’s daughter. But whatever we have struggled in the past, he will help you to transform now and for your future into your true identity.

So now, as a single mother, you have the chance to understand his vision as a parent. The same things you want from your relationship with your children is what God expects from you. Even if you have made mistakes, God wants you to understand that those shortcomings are forgiven and forgotten.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He created us again in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things that He planned for us a long time ago. Ephesians 2:10

He will meet all your needs.

And the same God who takes care of me will provide all your needs in his glorious wealth that we are given in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

This area can be a challenge for single mothers, because we may miss and do not meet the needs. We often hurry more and vibrant more than necessary.

The big thing that God wants from us is our trust. Trust him with your goals, life direction, finances, children and heart. God does not want us to lean on our own will, energy and power to meet our needs, but prefer to rest in Him.

Abraham called the town of Yahweh-Yireh (what does ‘mean’ Gentleman will offer ”). To this day, people still use that name as a saying:” On the mountain of the Gentleman It will be provided. “Genesis 22:14

He uses others to move in your life.

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His An And the only son in the world we could live through him. 1 John 4: 9

When I started (full) to live for Christ, I often searched for God to make a powerful wonderful movement in my life. Boy, I sat and waited forever.

God is a God of miracles, but He is also a God of small blessings. Once I started looking up and around, I could see the mini gifts in my life by others. From friends, business partners, work changes and parenthood, if God was not there to put me in their hearts, I would not be where I am today as a single mother.

There are different types of works (gifts), but in all and in everyone it is the same God at work. The manifestation of the Spirit is given for the public interest for each. 1 Corinthians 12: 6-7

You have a goal and a calling beyond being a single parent.

The purposes of the heart of a person are deep water, but someone who has insight takes them out. Proverbs 20: 5 NIV

And this is the truth. Of course God has called us to go out, to be fertile and to multiply. But that means not only with your children, but with your reason to be here.

Before we even became parents, we were already appointed as Kingdom Ambassadors. Find your spark, find passion and discover what God has taught you to share with the world. Study gifts, learn from stories about calling with various Biblical characters and explore your strengths.

I know you can do everything, and nobody can stop you. Job 42: 2

He is the love you wanted to receive.

This is true love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take our sins away. 1 John 4:10

This statement speaks for itself. As single mothers, some of our testimonies include our experiences with love. Looking for love in the wrong places, misled by someone we loved, and so on.

God is the ultimate form of love. He is love! A man or something else in this world can never fill this love deficit because it has always been God’s place. Of course our children often illustrate the love that God gives at a young age, but remember that they are defective just like us. So don’t expect your children to be everything you need when it comes to love. God is.

This is true love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take our sins away. 1 John 3:18

You are released.

But the Lord will exchange Those who serve him. No one who resorts to him will be convicted. Psalm 34:22

To be honest, this is difficult to conceptualize when life has given you some bad cards. But the answer is simple. We were redeemed because we believed and he loved us for the first time.

We are redeemed because there is no way to be in Christ and still be in the same shadows: shame, guilt and mistakes. Look at yourself, and if you notice that you are being plagued by sins, then it’s time to re -assess. The truth is that he redeems you and now you have to run it out.

Has the Lord exchanged You? Then pronounce! Tell others that he has exchanged You of your enemies. Psalm 107: 2

What he says about you is more important than what men feel about you.

When they were discouraged, I smiled at them. My gaze of approval Was precious for them. Job 29:24

In a world where everyone has an opinion and is ready to thank social media, navigating through this world as a single mother can be a challenge. However, God encourages us and only instructs us to focus our eyes on things above.

Don’t be stumbled by the defects and foolishness of another man. Don’t be fooled or fall victim to the ideas of others about you. Who are you more focused on the approval of man or God? Think about it.

It is clear that I am not trying the approval of people, but of God. If the pleasure of people was my goal, I would not be the servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

He sees you.

The Lord keeps your watches while you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121: 8

I made this confirmation of God as the last because of this simple fact. God does not ignore you and you are not invisible. You can appear this world, but Jesus will always bring you closer to him.

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is the story of Hagar (and all the drama that dropped with Sarai and AB). As a single mother only with her child after the father had nothing to do with his responsibility, she could see that God got her and that he sees her.

Despite your story and your current circumstance, God sees you. He sees the good and the bad, and he still loves you.

Then Hagar used another name to refer to the Gentleman” WHO Had spoke to her. She said, ‘You’re the God WHO to see me. “She also said,” I really have that WHO to see me? “Genesis 16:13

God wants single mothers to know,

He’s good.

He is love.

God takes care of them.

Has plans for them to have hope and prosperous.

And that he knows our names.

I hope you grab this truth that God wants single mothers to know it. Get up, daughter of God, and take your rightful place. Years of your dreams, those children hold, but the most important, glorifying God.
