The Love Challenge: Better understand love better
So in the past I made a love challenge in a Facebook group that I did for Christian single mothers. The challenge was intended for women like you to participate with me exploring the way of “love”.
The writing, tasks, reflections and even opportunities to share your thoughts and experiences. I wanted to do it in the Facebook group to increase the community for single mothers and to offer a safe space to explore our perspectives on love through the filter of God’s Word.
It was also a great opportunity to evaluate again how I felt about love myself.
As a single mother, I had a distorted views on love from my upbringing, earlier relationships and other experiences that I have observed right in front of my eyes. As I grew in my Christian walk, I realized that I had shortages in the love department.
Most of my pain points were focused on experiences that I thought were love or where I was looking for love.
When I finally acknowledged that God is love, it was time for me to dig deeper to better understand love from the word.
Why is it so important to better understand love?
Just think back to all the relationships and experiences you have had in your life. Most relationships had a transaction of love or opportunity to work in love, if not all.
Most of us walked around with insufficient definitions and inaccurate displays of what love is – on return, which influence our interpretations, as well as the experiences of others with love. This reasoning is why it is so important to understand in a healthy way.
Think of your children and how God chose you to guide them and discuss them on this journey called Life. Do you want the world to tell them what love is or experience things in the hard way?
Every parent would want his child to go through what they had to endure. The same applies to love; It must be learned and experienced to better understand love.
So I decided it is time to do a current study.
When I looked up all the love writings in the Bible, I was overwhelmed, but I wanted to understand love so much that I did the work of digesting one verse at the same time. And I wanted to share it with you.
Below is the list of my upper Bible verses to better understand love; the same verses that I used for one 28-day single mother Love Challenge.

They will be incomparable and ruthless; They will tackle others and have no self -control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
