During my new trip I learn that I will not reach a destination. I will constantly grow and evolve and be challenged in areas that I already thought I had mastered.
I remember that I heard the saying “seeing is believing”. And I have already lived a majority of my life. The idea that I have to see something before I will ever accept that something exists or occurs was my line of thought.
However, when I had recommended my life to Christ, I learned that believing it is gone before it sees. Believing helps to ignite your faith, so that you are expecting the time of waiting.
What does it mean to believe?
Believing is to accept something true, to be sure of the truth of.
As a person you can keep something like an opinion, think or assume as a belief.
When did you last have something that accepted? When did you last take the inventory of your opinions?
Believing means so much more in the Bible. Believing only means confidence on Christ, not only in our mind, but in our being.
So I ask the question:
Do you believe with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength?
Do you believe that your relationship with God is the most important relationship in your life?
Do you believe that your salvation was sufficient?
Do you believe that the Holy Spirit lives in you?
It doesn’t matter where you are in your conviction, it is time that you evaluate again and ensure that your spiritual beliefs and values match the Word of God. And if you choose not to believe or are not sure what you believe, I want to encourage you to reopen your Bible and get to know it yourself.
Put the church aside, put your challenges on the shelf at the moment. It’s time to get home, it’s time to believe again. Not only for yourself, but also for your babies, your future and your goal in this life.
So I write this while I talk to God because it is time that I believe with everything I have. It is time for me to trust God with every area of my life, and God love with everything in me. I want that for you too.
Lord, I thank you for your patience. I thank you that you are always a God who loves who you are and not because of what we have done. I pray as the Father who needs his Savior to help his Son, Jesus helps me in my disbelief (Marcus 9:24).
Even if I am still an adult, I know that if someone can help, I know you can do that. If I don’t see the outcome, I believe you are present and work. Lord, help me and my colleague -all -natured mothers believe that you are everything we need to get through this season in our lives. In Jesus name, Amen.
What does the Bible say about growing faith?
The Bible talks about everywhere. Simply following the story of Israel can be a great start to understand how growing in faith in God and Christ is essential for the journey as a Christian.
This is why we are at the same time mentioned because of our ability to believe in God and the redemption of Christ despite what the world is trying to refute.
Here are some important writings that I go to and plan to meditate on while I continue my journey to the full faith in Christ and Christ only in every area of my life. I pray that they also bless you!
- To get close to God, you must believe that he exists and is a reward. Hebrews 11: 6
- What you ask in prayer, you have to believe you have received it. Mark 11:24
- The person who believes in Him must not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. Romans 15:13
- You and your household are saved by believing in Jesus. Acts 16:31
- Blessed are those who have not seen it and yet believed. John 20:29
- All things are possible for someone who believes. Mark 9:23
- The person who believes in Jesus will never thirst. John 6:35
- Believe in God and in Jesus. Don’t let your heart be worried. Johannes 14: 1
- Whoever believes in him is not convicted. John 3:18
- Even the demons believe horror! James 2:19
The latter gets me every time. Even the entity that tries to destroy everything that God created, knows and believes that God is who He says he is.
Sheesh!
I made the decision to believe that I was saved. Where am I going from here?
I believe in God, but I have trouble believing that God will come through for my children, my finances, my relationships, my career, my circumstances. Where am I going from here?
I am so happy that you asked. Keep reading …
3 ways to continue to grow in faith
In 2025 there is no time to go back and forth in what we believe and what we will allow God to penetrate. We must become clear about who we are and whose we are, so that every test that can come in our way will not bring us back to old habits and ways of thinking more.
This is why it is so important not only to believe in your heart, but also to be intentional about the daily renewal of your spirit and heart because your relationship with God and your walk thrives as a believer.
Here are my 3 simple ways in which I am planning to continue to grow in my faith, not only in God, but believe that he will continue to grow, will give me the desires of my heart and help me overcome the challenges that will come on my way.
Make a decision to believe every morning
I always thought it was a piece to start my morning with Bible study and time with God. For a single mother, getting that time can only be a challenge.
What I have realized, however, is that the most important thing is to make the decision every morning to believe that I will trust the Lord in everything and for everything.
I decide that my faith in him leads my life, not what I see, my emotions or pushing/pulling others. It is only God and God.
Meditate about truth from the word to feed my conviction
If you do nothing else during your walk as a Christian, make sure you come up with the floor. Make sure you study it, enjoy it and apply it to your life.
If you have problems, ask for help, come into a community, ask you local leaders to support you on your Bible study. You can even take the above writings, write them on a paper and place them on the wall so that you can meditate on it every day.
God’s truth through His Word is the fuel needed to continue to grow in your faith. During your journey there will be people and circumstances who try to get you off the track. Stay loaded, prepared and ready with the sword of the Spirit from the word.
Surround yourself with real believers
I set this up because this is an area that I think it has been a huge transition in my life in the past year. Sometimes we do not realize that we create relationships with A-Lot from different people in our lifespan.
Some will stay forever, some will come a season. However, not everyone will stay on the same path as you or with the same beliefs as you. Not to say that you have to get rid of the people in your life who are unbelievers because you never know, God can use your journey to serve them.
My recommendation is that you have a select number of proven believers who you can live side by side and that will always give you back to Jesus, the Word and believe that God works for your best.
I have met some great women who have joined my circle that their lives, faith and love for God is inspiring and helps me to continue to focus on being everything God has created to be. In exchange, that has shifted my faith from ‘if he wants to do it’ to ‘when he does it’.
To be honest, I want to live 2025 in satisfaction, but with a heart of expectation of good. I no longer want to expect and search for the worst or that the ball drops. I am excited for my new view of life through God’s eyes and excited that you do the same too.
All in all,
I pray that this message helps you to believe more than ever and your 2025 will full of joy, peace, love, hope and everything God has for you.
That is why I challenge you to get close and believe with everything in you, single mothers. If you grow in faith, you can never be the same again.
